Developer and Subscription Licensing - General

What kinds of licenses do you offer and how does the Developer License work?

Nevron components are licensed per individual developer (per developer seat basis) using the Software for development purposes and commercial web server for deployment (web based applications). Each developer who desires to use the Software must hold a valid Developer License. Each Developer License also includes 1 web server license. The products can be installed on more than one machine as long as only the licensed developer is working with the components.

The Developer Licenses have no run-time limitations and allow the licensed developer to use the components with an unlimited number of applications. The licensed (retail) components in the package are royalty free for use in compiled applications only (win based desktop applications). This means that you may distribute your programs compiled with Nevron components incurring no royalty fee, regardless of the number of copies you distribute or the pricing of your product. You may not distribute Nevron components in order to use them in development environments. There is no restriction on the number of applications (products) you develop with Nevron components. We do not charge for test servers and for intranets. There is also no restriction on the number of websites (per server) and no restriction on the number of CPUs per server.

Do you offer different editions of the products?

Yes, Nevron offers different editions of the products to meet your specific development needs. To see the differences and to see which edition meets your requirements, take a look at the features comparison of the products' editions: Nevron .NET Vision suite is available in Professional and Enterprise editions. The difference between the two editions is based on the features and functionality included with each package. For details take a look at the differences between the editions of the separate products (Chart, Diagram and UI).

What exactly is the Developer License Subscription and how does it work?

The Developer License Subscription is designed for professional developers so they can always be up-to-date with the latest Nevron products and technologies. It is valid for one year and includes all minor and major version upgrades for the subscription period.

The yearly Subscription is the most cost-effective solution to always have the latest and most powerful versions with all improvements and new features.

How do I renew my Subscription License?

You will be able to renew the yearly Subscriptions for your licenses by placing an order for Subscription Renewal.

The fastest and easiest way to renew the yearly Subscriptions for your licenses is by placing an online order for Subscription Renewal through your account in our website. You can Sign In to your account and look at the options for purchasing or renewing license Subscriptions.

You can also purchase the Subscription renewal via direct bank transfer, check, purchase order, fax order and phone order. You will need to provide information about your current license and subscription details. For more information take a look at the Ordering Information or contact our Sales Team.

What is the price of Subscription renewal?

We will send you a subscription renewal notification shortly before the expiration date. The yearly subscription renewal will cost approximately 50% of the original price of the developer license and you will receive all major upgrades for another year.

After the subscription expiration date you won't be able to simply renew your licenses subscription. You will first have to upgrade to the latest version and then get the renewal. The upgrade to a particular version will cost a flat 50% of the price of the developer license.

Can I continue to use the products once my Subscription expires?

You can continue using the licensed product and you will still be able to work with the last version of the software released while your subscription was still active. However, you will not continue to receive product updates and support. If you would like to continue to receive major product updates and new product releases, you need to upgrade and renew your license subscription.

How to get my license switched to a different user and update the account holder?

You should contact Nevron Customer Service with details about the new user / account holder. You must also include your current account information.

Nevron Customer Service will update the accounts appropriately.
Purchase Process and Ordering

Can I place an order online via credit card?

Yes, you can place an order online via credit card through our online store. This is the fastest and easiest way to purchase licenses for Nevron Software products.

When placing an online order, you will have to log into your account. If you are not logged-in, you will be prompted to Sign In or Sign Up for an account.

When you are selecting the products and the number of licenses, they will appear in your shopping cart. Once you are ready to order, click on the "Checkout" button. You will be re-directed to the secure site of our e-commerce provider (Authorize.Net), which handles payments on our behalf for your billing information. Your account in nevron.com will be automatically updated and you will be able to see the status of the order (pending or fulfilled).

You should receive 2 e-mails:
  • The first e-mail will be from Nevron, confirming that you requested to place an order by clicking the "Checkout" button. This e-mail does not confirm that your order has been accepted and that it will be processed.
  • The second e-mail will be sent once you fill in the required billing information and submit your order for processing. This e-mail will be from our payment service provider for confirmation of the order's successful transaction.
When will I receive my license key(s)?
After you complete the purchasing process you should receive a notification e-mail from Nevron Customer Service. This e-mail will include information about your account, the software download and license(s) details. All online orders are processed within the same business day. Because online orders are reviewed by our sales team, there may be a delay (up to 24 hours) before you receive your license details. Please allow for one business day purchase order processing time.

If you don't receive your license details within 24 hours, or if you need any assistance with the ordering process, please contact us with your details at: sales@nevron.com

What if there are problems with my purchase online order?
If questions or problems arise with your online order, a Nevron representative will attempt to contact you via the email or phone number provided in your nevron.com account. To ensure the process gets completed as soon as possible, make sure that the account information you provided is accurate.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards for online purchases: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discovery.

How quickly is the software delivered?

As all orders are reviewed by our sales team, there may be a delay (up to 24 hours) before you receive your license details. Please allow for one business day purchase order processing time.

All Nevron products are delivered as ESD (Electronic Software Distribution) via e-mail and through the License holder account.

We have placed an order and still, we haven't received the purchased license! Why?

We do not process payments on our site. We use the secure payment platforms of our payment service provider Authorize.Net.

If you have purchased online, you should receive a Merchant Receipt as confirmation for the order's successful transaction. Please allow for one business day for processing the order. If you haven't received the Merchant Receipt, this means that the transaction was not successful and your credit card was not charged. You should call your credit card issuing bank because they may be blocking the transaction.

For your convenience, after you place your order, your account will be automatically updated and you will be able to see the status of the order (pending or fulfilled). If you don’t receive your license details within 24 hours, or if you experience any problems with the ordering process, please excuse us for any inconvenience and contact Nevron Sales with your account and order details. We will help you to complete your order.

Do you provide refunds?

We do not provide refunds once you have placed your order and the software has been delivered to you. We are proud with the quality of our pre-sales support and we provide our clients with fully-functional evaluation versions of the products with no time limitation. This way any potential customer can fully test the products and their functionality before placing an order.

We make refunds only in case a credit card was stolen and used to purchase a Nevron product license. For more information, please visit the Policies page.

Do you offer your products through resellers or distributors?

Special Pricing and Discounts

Do you offer competitive upgrade discounts?

Yes, we realize that you may have invested a considerable amount of time and money in .NET controls from other vendors. If you currently are a client of one of our major competitors, you may qualify for the competitive upgrade discount of 30% if you switch to Nevron products. Please contact sales@nevron.com and include the invoice for the purchase of the competing product, as well as details about which product you would like to upgrade to. You will then be provided with a discount coupon you can use in your purchase.

NOTE: Not all component libraries from other vendors will qualify for this promotion. We provide the competitive upgrade discount only to clients of our major competitors.

Do you offer volume discounts?

Nevron offers the following volume discounts:
3 – 4 developer licenses – 10%
5 – 9 developer licenses – 20%
10 – 19 developer licenses – 30%
20 or more developer licenses – 40%

The volume discount will be automatically calculated if you are making your purchase online. You just need to enter the number of licenses you want to purchase.

Do you provide discounts for educational, government or not-profit organizations?

Yes, we offer a special educational, non-profit and government discount of 20%. Please contact sales@nevron.com and include your credentials (an email sent from a qualified institution is usually sufficient as legal proof). You will then be provided with a discount coupon you can use in your purchase. You can also submit a purchase order.

Demo / Evaluation Version

Do you provide a demo / evaluation version of the products?

Yes, we provide a fully functional evaluation version to our users. To download and test the evaluation version go to the Downloads page.

The evaluation doesn't require any license keys and can be installed on any development, test or production machine. While working with the evaluation version there is only an evaluation watermark and a nag screen while compiling the solution. The watermark will be removed when you add a valid Developer License key.
